Systems Support Technician
Job Description:C.T.E. SYSTEMS, INC. is California’s longest established time and attendance systems dealer since 1958 with solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses, as well as web-based enterprise solutions for large organizations. The company serves thousands of clients throughout California that are regional or national in scope. As a member of the C.T.E. Support Team he or she is expected to perfect their product knowledge and customer service skills and techniques to promote customer satisfaction and retention.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality, comprehensive technical support on C.T.E. Systems software products to existing Customer base
- Utilize technical ability to prioritize issues and respond accordingly to multiple critical circumstances.
- Analyze customer configurations by thinking "out of the box" to resolve and/or find a work around.
- Research application questions by conducting specific performance or functional tests associated with resolving performance issues
- Assist in the development and documentation of best practices.
- Develop a solid base of general product knowledge.
- Some regional travel required, some on very short notice to resolve urgent customer support issues.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with client/server and/or Web Based technologies.
- Solid understanding of Operating Systems, networking technologies, software applications, communication protocols and web-based technologies and concepts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with MS-SQL® relational databases management systems.
- Display maturity, strong communication skills, good business and work ethics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Certified System Engineering certificate a plus.
- Ability to work independently to prospect and develop new business for company.
